Chapter 94: Bad uncle go away
Rose escaped the space containing Rolan and Mrs Stella, taking a deep breath as she reached the area where the doctor sat.
"This kid is really fast. I was in the middle of treating him when he suddenly ran away from my grasp," the doctor said the moment his eyes landed on Rose.
Rose laughed, brushing back her hair as she muttered apologies to the doctor before sitting down with Tobi next to her. The doctor nodded and resumed his treatment.
Tobi glanced at the doctor, then at Rose, his eyes silently pleading that he did not want to be examined.
"Mummy," Tobi called, his voice trembling as if he were about to cry at any moment.
Rose’s heart ached at the sight of him. He hadn’t been this scared before.
"Sweetheart, it’s alright," Rose said with a gentle smile, rubbing Tobi’s hair to comfort him. "The doctor just wants to check on you, so you need to be strong and let him do his job."
Tobi pouted but eventually nodded as Rose continued to pet him.
"Mummy, I won’t be scared of the doctor anymore," Tobi said with a small smile, wiggling his short legs on the couch as if his mood had suddenly improved.
Rose watched this and chuckled internally. Her son was truly adorable.
He needed to stay healthy. Nothing should go wrong.
