Chapter 63: <Last Stand> - Part 5

Todd and the group watched the rest of the PPV in a relatively relaxed mood. The first match of the PPV had been a banger and the follow-ups were really great as well.

While they didn’t have that much investment in the following matches, they couldn’t fault the amount of in-ring performance that was put forth. Todd, being a wrestling pundit, was really satisfied with the quality of matches LWC had put out.

He was already preparing an in-depth review of the PPV in his mind as the show progressed. He noticed the spectacular things that the talents did and made a note of them, so he would be able to put them down in his article as well.

Frankly, he was struggling to determine what to include in the top ten moments as it was one of the articles he regularly wrote about. He would dissect the entire show and come up with the top ten talking points for the entire show and give them a rating.

Readers liked to read stuff like that. They tended to focus on the list more than boring editorials that droned on and on. It also made it easy for him to structure the article as he already had a clear outline to work with.

However, this time he was struggling because there was too much to include. He was even wondering if he had to extend the list to the top fifteen so that he would be able to list out all the important talking points in the PPV.

And to make the matters worse, the PPV hadn’t even ended yet.

He knew that the main event featuring Mark Weathers and Marshall Jones would have its own talking points as well. This made the article that he was preparing in his mind bloated beyond belief.

It was a sweet torture for him.

He enjoyed this sensation a lot. As a fan, he wanted every PPV to have such a large amount of talking points. But, as a writer, the burden of curating the entire thing and putting out the absolute best also rested on him.

He had to walk a fine line to maintain his credibility with the audience in general. If he missed out on things that a lot of people liked, then it would mean that his article wasn’t credible enough.

Similarly, he should also be able to include finer details that many casual fans would miss. It was the thing that would set his article apart from the other articles that would surely pop up.
