Ye Mingmei opened the floor-to-ceiling window, carefully looking for footprints on the ground, but it was spotlessly clean, with nothing at all.
She froze for a few seconds, turned around, and ran out the door.
Rushing to the living room, she grabbed the butler’s hand, "Help me get the surveillance footage from last night. I want to see the footage of the entire villa from eleven o’clock last night to this morning, especially the view towards my room!"

"I said I want to see yesterday’s surveillance. Why are you just standing there?" Unable to wait for the butler, Ye Mingmei, in a hurry, ran toward the villa’s surveillance room.
She rushed into the Ye Family Villa’s surveillance room in one go, speaking before the guards inside could react, "I want to see the footage from last night of the cameras facing my room."
"Yes, Miss."
The guard was momentarily stunned, nodding respectfully.
The surveillance tapes from last night were fetched as per Ye Mingmei’s request and displayed on the computer screen.
"Are there only these two tapes?" Ye Mingmei looked at the surveillance footage in front of her, her breathing unconsciously tense, her hand on the table slightly exerting force.
