After entering the estate, Li Ang found that a few of Sheila’s close girlfriends were also present, and from the looks of them, they seemed to have racked their brains over her affairs.
When Li Ang entered, Sheila was about to introduce him when one of the ladies, exceptionally voluptuous, got a little excited and stood up to say:
"Don’t bother introducing him, let me guess, this must be your little puppy brother, right? Darling, your taste is simply impeccable."
The curvaceous woman said this, giving Sheila a thumbs-up.
The other two women looked at Sheila with a teasing glint in their eyes, thinking it’s no wonder she hadn’t been seen dating for so long—she had been eating quite well in private.
One of them, with a slightly exaggerated tone, pointed to the shopping bag in Li Ang’s hand and said:
"Wow, our little puppy even brought a gift for his sister, and it’s from Hermès, this gift mustn’t be cheap."
Though they meant no malice, they still associated Li Ang more with being kept by Sheila.
After all, men, no matter their age, like eighteen-year-olds, and if Li Ang were really successful on his own, not after Sheila’s money, there’d be no reason for him to be in a cougar relationship.
Sheila had always been cautious about introducing Li Ang to her friends, to protect his public image. Now, seeing everyone’s misunderstanding, she felt a bit anxious but didn’t know how to explain it.
Li Ang didn’t mind their teasing, he came to support Sheila, and he never thought being kept was something to be ashamed of; being able to find a wealthy woman was a skill in itself.
