Chapter 604: Trying to trick me is useless.
Both of them were not new to this kind of attention from the press so they did not falter, and confidently, they walked slowly to the red carpet which had been prepared for the attendees, got their pictures taken and walked inside. The entire time, Muyang’s right hand did not once leave Chi Lian’s waist. He held her gently, looked at her softly, smiled at her secretly and dotted on her with his eyes.
"Those two are far gone, they are so deep in love that nobody here matters but themselves." one photographer commented.
"Contract marriage my ass." another said.
"They could be acting." a female reporter who worked with them said.
"You must be one of her haters." the first photographer told her.
The female reporter snorted and walked inside the venue, she was supposed to interview all the winners before or after they received their awards. The list of winners was always released early, it was not like those entertainment awards where all the nominees would attend and then applaud the winner while they forced themselves to smile.
This did not mean nominees were not invited to the awards, they received invitations and could attend if they wished.
Because the list of nominees and winners was publicized, most nominees including the sore losers attended the awards to save face and not appear bitter about their loss. Besides, the awards were televised live on NBTV so it was a good opportunity for free publicity for all their companies.
Ximeng was at home, sitting in her family’s living room with her father, mother and two brothers watching the awards.
She was munching on the fried peanuts and melon tea which she had delivered from Juan tea earlier in the day.
"Is that your design?" her mother asked when Chi Lian and Muyang appeared on the screen.
