Chapter 569: The devil with ten thousand eyes.
It was six in the morning, he had not worked out and yet Zhangye could feel himself start to sweat as he waited for young master Jun Muyang to reply. He watched the young master flip the newspaper slowly, and take a sip of coffee from the precious green porcelain cup slowly. ’Say something.’ he thought anxiously. He was relieved when Muyang put down the newspaper and looked directly at him.
"Do you know that there is a man called Dai Zhangye who died on his way to a courthouse last year? My wife was visiting this town at around that time, scouting land for her lab."
Zhangye refused to portray any nervousness or fear. The young miss had not left any evidence behind he was sure. Dai Zhangye was dead and buried, he was someone else now.
"How is that connected to me young master?" he questioned confidently.
"It’s not," Muyang answered, and he touched the rim of the cup slowly, "I hope there will be no more prison visits unless they are done anonymously in a disguise no can ever see through. If you cannot adhere by the rules of my wife, I do not mind getting rid of you to keep her and my family safe. You can always hand in your resignation if you want, a man with your skills can find a job overseas."
"I am not leaving the young miss, she trusted me and she gave me an important task. I will remember your advice always." Zhangye replied. Why would he leave this cushy job and awesome new life. After spending years fighting for his life, he preferred this simple living now.
Muyang picked up his news paper again and he looked away from Zhangye, "Then we have an understanding, you can go." he said.
Dai Zhangye closed the door of the bedroom he was sharing with Spider and he fell on his bed with trembling legs. Everyone knew the devil Jun Muyang was smart but this was too smart. Did he have some kind of cheat code which did calculations and analyzed things for him?
Even his long time friend a prosecutor and keen observer had failed to recognize him when they met but young master Jun spoke with conviction. He knew who he was, there was no denying it. But, did the young madam know that the young master was aware? It was a good thing he had repaid that favor so no more visits to the prison. The rest would be taken care of by a lawyer he asked old tiger to hire for him secretly.
