"You should have known to whose house you were sending your maid because she made quite the ruckus in front of their house. Since I cannot apologize for this offense on your behalf it will be better for you to apologize to them and promise that nothing like this will ever happen again. Little lady Chi owns a television network after all, I would hate to see the name of our royal family out there together with the words rude, haughty, arrogant." The emperor spoke slowly, taking his time to mention all ways in which the royal family could be referred to. Freedom of speech was granted in the empire after all and the newspapers and televisions could certainly report what they wanted.
Lord knows he had ripped up many papers that plastered his beloved daughter all over while calling her entitled, ill mannered and a spoiled princess.
The crown princess stood up and bowed before the emperor with her arms folded as if to portray meekness. "I will apologize." she said.
Even if she said this, her eyes portrayed unwillingness, she was extremely reluctant to apologize to them it seemed. No matter what the emperor said, the crown princess saw them as nothing more than commoners that were beneath her.
"I apologize for the actions of my maid, I will punish her as soon as she returns to the palace." Her eyes moved from the old madam to Chi Lian, and when they did , a small hint of malice appeared in them. It was just one brief second but they all noticed it.
"Your maid will not be returning any time soon." Jun Muyang said and he looked at the crown princess daringly. "She offended my wife and grandmother, I am especially not very nice to the people who offend my wife."
"I..." the princess held back as if she was choking, "I am sorry for not teaching her better, she deserves to be punished, you can do with her as you please."
There was no sincerity in her apology so Chi Lian chose not to respond. She picked up the small cup of tea and sipped it slowly. The old madam too, did the same.
"You can leave us now crown princess, the empress will be discussing some things with you. I simply wanted to ask you a few questions and understand what happened." The emperor dismissed her with a wave of his hand, there was nothing left for him to hear.
