Chi Lian smuggled the young girl out of the palace through another gate by getting the princess to call the guards away. Her car with the two guards who escorted her was waiting for her there. She was impressed at their level of professionalism because neither one of them blinked or asked her about the young girl who was covered in a large black coat and pushed first into the car.
They did not turn around even when the girl started sobbing loudly, not even showing a hint of curiosity why the mistress did not bother to comfort the girl or say some soothing words.
