Chapter 419: A vacation in Europe
Madam An’s new wheelchair quickly became like a ride in an amusement park. Up and down, left and ride the wheel chair went. Mei-Mei squealed the loudest with excitement and one point she was jumping and down so much that madam An had to use the straps to prevent her falling down. Little Monk was also excited and clapping but at least he stayed in place.
"You might have to bring the children over everyday for a ride." Mama Chi told Chi Lian.
She just laughed because Mei-Mei was going to demand for a ride every time she saw the wheelchair. Maybe if grandma An did not have a busy schedule she could set aside time to escort the children once a week for the toddler activities classes they had been signed up for.
They watched the wheelchair spin around for ten seconds and then she decided to go and check on King. Feng Wu had been sending her regular updates on how he was faring ever since he moved here. Thinking about King reminded her that today was the day the annual beginning of the year horse race was being held. The manager of the horse racing track had sent her a message requesting for King to make an appearance. He promised that King would be well taken care of but she did not trust him.
He came off as desperate back then and in his message. He seemed to be too eager to access the horse which was not racing but always kept in a stable and had never once made an appearance at the races.
She looked around the home constructed barn and she realized that perhaps installing a camera to keep a closer look on the animals might be a good idea.
She saw Feng Wu feeding King apples she had left for him from the virtual farm. He looked healthy and strong, happily munching away at the apples with a strong bite. She chuckled and opened a packet of those universal snacks. Ten seconds later, King was sniffing the ground like a dog and looking for the snacks.
When he saw her, he came racing and Apple was not too far behind him. The two competed for her affection and snacks. If she was not strong, she would have fallen down on her butt from their pushing.
After enjoying the overly enthusiastic welcome given by the horses, she fed them the treats, checked on the cows and returned inside the house. Everyone had moved to the dining room for breakfast.
