Chapter 414: Rise
There was a stillness and calmness in the audience at this time. They exhilaration over what was to come was high. After everything they had seen tonight, they were all highly anticipating the act which was meant to close the gala. Everyone knew that two things mattered most when it came to the spring festival gala, how you opened it and how you closed it.
In the silence and darkness with the little glow of light being produced from the stars above, one girl waved her glowed stick and cheered so loudly. "Wuuuuuuuu."
Other members of the audience resisted the urge to shush her at this moment.
In the front row, the old madam hid her face in her husband’s chest. "Oh I can’t look, I am so nervous for what’s coming." she said.
"I just know it’s gonna be good." one of the triplets said.
On the dark stage, a recording started playing on a very large screen. A group of six military officials were watching new military recruits running in the cold rain. One of the recruits, a female was lagging behind, looking exhausted but full of spirit as she refused to give up.
"Who accepted that runt into our camp?" one man asked.
"Oh, it’s the action king." someone said.
"I did." another answered.
"And the action emperor someone screamed."
Wu Liang and Bei Qing were seen on screen together for the first time in decades and it was not an award ceremony. How had these two enemies that could not stand each other do this?
