Chapter 366: Press conference
Outside the plantation, Chi Lian was officially ready to leave and return home. She had a guest waiting for her, two guests in fact. One was Zhangye and the other was Bear who had finally landed in the empire on a very chaotic day.
They were waiting for monkey who was the victim that introduced the Aoi organization into the equation to join them so that they could set off. In the meantime, she was watching the live press conference being held in the conference room of the NFI.
The commissioner general of the police was older man, his thick hair was mostly grey and he appeared to be nervous and tired. Next to him was a younger man in his thirties who looked extremely distinguished and smart. He was wearing spectacles with gold rims and his face was unsmiling but very calm despite the multitude of flashing cameras, he was the new head of the NFI. Last on the table was the chief prosecutor who was a middle aged woman that was known for her ruthlessness to criminals. She had black shoulder length hair and she kept looking at her watch every few seconds as if she had some place else to be.
The commissioner general of the police addressed the audience first, promising that the police would do everything in their power to bring all the culprits to justice.
After a ten minute Q&A, the NFI director simply said they would share their findings when they were ready and if any member of the press tried to bribe an employee of the NFI for information, they would be reported to the police.
His address was short, precise and when he was finished, he walked away from the table. The director of the NFI was newly appointed, arrogant but highly skilled and extremely sought after. He was Professor Tao Qiang, older brother to Professor Tao Yichen.
The only thing he did confirm was that the bodies which had been examined so far were missing organs. Now, it was not just a rumor, it was a fact.
The Chief prosecutor Lei Yi Qi said that the prosecutor’s office had been investigating the involvement of the Aoi organization and the Chu family for a year now and these revelations had come at a time when they were preparing to make arrests.
Arrest warrants for all members of the Chu family had been issued and they were all on the no fly list. All workers in the Chu enterprise, Aoi organization and Central hospital were being investigated. For now, the hospital was being closed down and it would be reopened when investigations were finished.
