Chapter 362: Something in the air
Four hours after the intrusion, Chi Lian was sitting in a car with Old tiger and spider. In their hands, each was holding a pair of binoculars looking through them at a large tea plantation. Even from this distance, she could smell the scent of burned tea leaves in the air as it was carried by the wind from the plantation.
She needed no binoculars to see accurately because her vision was superior. She could see that all of the trees were covered with snow, except for the ones in green houses. This made it easy to see the people moving up and about.
The busiest area of the plantation was the manufacturing side because even though tea planting and picking could not be done in the winter, production had no assigned season.
Behind the car they were sitting in was a news van with a phoenix logo printed on the car door. In there were three reporters and three camera men who were itching with excitement to set out and do their job however they could not move unless the boss gave them a go ahead.
Squirrel and Piggy were sitting in the front with Squirrel in the driver’s position. They were here as muscle in case the reporters were threatened. They were also here to retrieve monkey in case things went sideways at the plantation.
"The police are taking too long to reach boss." Spider complained.
"They will be on time, you are just too impatient." She replied to him.
"What if they are destroying evidence in there, all these shady people always have someone in the police on their pay roll to stay ahead of investigations." Spider countered.
His worry was solid and she knew this because on the list of people who had received illegal organs from doctor Li were two policemen. One had a child who received a kidney and other had a wife who received a liver.
