Chapter 361: Intruders
At some point in the night, the loud insistent barking of Black guard and the other dogs created a commotion which woke Chi Lian and Muyang up. She immediately switched her sight to her virtual screen as she asked T4 if he could see what was going on.
"I think we have intruders." Muyang told her.
"He is right host; they came in from the backyard a few seconds ago. Black guard smelled them and started barking immediately. Part of the group is fighting with the guards and the dogs are wrangling some but they seem to be highly skilled and they are carrying weapons."
Immediately, she threw the beddings off her body and left the bedroom without bothering to put on shoes.
Because of the cold weather, she had gone to bed dressed in warm thick blue pajamas.
Muyang was right on her heels, racing her in the direction of Blackguards barking. At the exit leading to the backyard, they could hear scuffles coming from two sides.
Chi Lian looked at Muyang and she looked right. He nodded and they split up with him going left and her going right.
When she arrived outside, Blackguard was engaged in a fierce battle with two knife wielding attackers. White knight was barking and whining at something in the snow. She quickly identified that something to be Popcorn.
There was some red bit of blood flowing from Popcorn which was dying the white snow red. Her anger tripled and she threw herself into the fight without hesitation. She did not bother to hold back her super strength, wasting no moment to break both arms of one of the attackers.
As the second one was thrown by Blackguard, she kicked him so hard in the knee that the sound of his bones crunching as he hit the ground was loudly audible.
With these two down for the count, she hurried to check on popcorn. The little female husky had been stabbed in the stomach. She stuffed a health capsule down its throat and carried it inside.
