Chapter 342: Gugu gaga
By the time Yifei left, she was in a happy relaxed mood and smelling as fresh as a daisy after taking an hour long bubble bath.
"Mummy, mummy." She heard Mei-Mei’s cheerful voice calling her.
She increased her pace and made her way to the open dining room. Everyone was gathered in there cheerfully engaged in conversation. Eagerly, she reached her hands out and embraced her daughter that she had not seen all day.
"Mummy’s baby smells so good." Chi Lian rubbed her face in Mei-Mei’s neck.
"Mummy, mummy, uncle give nuts and yogi." Mei-Mei told her a whole bunch of words. Some were clear but some were gibberish.
This was the kind of gibberish that only a parent could understand. To a stranger, Mei-Mei’s words were nothing more than "Gugu gaga."
"Oh, uncle is so good to Mei-Mei. Did Mei-Mei say thank you?"
"Mei-Mei, fank." She replied.
She meant to say that she said, thank you and Chi Lian smiled proudly.
"Good girl." Chi Lian kissed her on the both cheeks.
She turned her face to the adults at the table and proceeded to greet them all one by one.
