Chapter 338: Rescuing Zhangye
With the speed the black van was approaching at, she knew she would not be able to stop the crash in time. Instead she chose to race ahead, get in front of the prison van and reduce the impact of the crash.
"T4, the motorcycle has a shield right?"
"Yes, what are you planning to do?"
She did not tell him what she was planning to do and instead, she rode her motorcycle to the front of the prison van and raised the motorcycle’s shield up to act as an invisible wall. When the black van crushed into the prison van, it bounced against the shield, hitting the motorcycle so hard that she was thrust against the wall of an empty building.
Although the force with which the van hit the wall was reduced, it still crashed into the wall very hard decimating a larger part of the vehicle’s front and narrowly missing crushing into Chi Lian who had landed a short distance from them.
It was a good thing that she was wearing a helmet because if her head hit the wall with that force, she would be dead on impact.
"Are you okay?" T4 asked her anxiously.
Slowly she stood up while cradling her sore arm and right side ribs. She felt lucky that sore was all she was feeling. "I think I should thank you for the gene editing serum because I would be dead right now."
Her body felt as if it had been pounded with hammers and rocks but other than the soreness, she was okay. She probably had bruises but now not the time to ascertain.
