The old madam was showing her short but sharp well filed red nails off as if they were weapons.
"Grandma, do you pinch Mei-Mei’s nails with such nails?" Muyang asked.
"I am well trained in how to use these weapons of mass destruction, don’t worry. But if it will make you feel better I will have them trimmed at the nail salon tomorrow." The old madam explained as she brushed him off.
"I like my wife’s nails, she is not trimming them." The old master said unhappily. "Anyway, just do what your grandmother has said and invite that family here. We will deal with them personally in a controlled environment."
The issue of the nails was temporarily abandoned and the old master’s suggestion was brought to the forefront.
"Does anyone know where they are?" Chi Rui looked at his two siblings.
"I do." Muyang replied, "I have had someone keeping an eye on your grandmother ever since she met your mother. I figured that she was soon going to cause trouble for the family and I wanted it to be contained as soon as it happened."
"Then send some men to pick them up and drop them off here, the sooner we get the ugly business over and done with, the faster we can get answers and move on." The old master ordered.
Muyang stepped away from the group to do as his grandfather asked.
In the meantime, everyone turned their eyes to Pearl who mewing was huskier, harsher even if one described it.
