Chapter 255: Shut you up with a kiss
The inside of the cave appeared to be dark and hollow; it was not crazy for Chi Lian to assume that something was using the cave as a habitat. Her worry was that if she went in there, would she come out alive?
She had seen enough movies like this, a group of scientists went under water or out in space to explore and they ended up being lunch for a parasite or an alien.
Not to forget all those movies with crocodiles which ate the happy campers? Chi Lian’s mind was working in overdrive, her imagination had been stirred in every negative way possible and she was having second thoughts about entering the cave. Even though all she could see coming in and out of the cave were fish, her heart could not help but anticipate dread.
"T4, I don’t think I want to go in there." She said.
"Host quit being a big baby, if there was any danger around you, I would have detected it already."
"Oh really, this is coming from the system which could not scan the inside of the cave." She retorted.
"We were far, now we are closer and I am scanning again so you can patiently wait for me to tell you what I discover. Play with some fish, gather some shrimp and abalones." T4 explained slowly as if he was talking to a kid.
"Play with some fish he says," she mumbled, "What am I two?" she further complained.
When she was playing with the fish he complained, now that she wanted to get away from the fish he was encouraging her to play, what a two faced system!
"Host you don’t have to worry about any underwater creature eating you, I think what we have stumbled upon is an illegal underwater diamond drilling operation. This cave has some sensors and a hidden camera. I guess someone had the same idea you did, finding treasure." T4 finally said once he finished his scan.
"I was not going to mine the diamonds illegally; I was simply going to take those that are floating around. You read the report; anything small could set off the mountain. We have to dismantle this operation."
