Chapter 174: Her own search for answers[2]
She went upstairs briefly to the kitchen and returned with a steaming cup of tea. She placed it on the table, and then approached the doctor.
When he saw her coming toward him, the doctor’s heart beat faster, he wondered if now the time for the torture to begin was at hand. He wanted to shout for help once more but he was afraid that any cry for help would simply irk his captor.
"Wha....what do you want?" he asked her nervously.
Chi Lian smiled like a demon straight from hell and replied, "Just a few answers doc, you don’t have to be in a hurry to talk, we have all the time in the world."
She lifted his feet, one after the other taking off his shoes and socks. She then attached a round metal ball to the sole of each foot and wrapped tape around it.
"What are you doing, stop it." He struggled fruitlessly. He was anxious and worried about the balls tied to his feet. What were they and what did they do?
"Don’t worry, "she replied softly, "Soon you will know what they do. Unless you give me answers to what I want to know."
The doctor was panting out of fear, sweat was dripping down his neck to his back, making the blue shirt he was wearing damp. And yet still he was determined not to say a word.
"I...won’t say anything." He said in terror. A few tears were running down his face.
