Chapter 173: Her own search for answers[1]
Downstairs in the basement, she found a team of four men pwaiting for her. The kidnapped doctor was tied to a chair with his arms tightly bound behind his back with a rope. Old tiger was scowling at the struggling doctor whose words were incoherent because his mouth was gagged.
"Boss." The four people stood up and bowed immediately when they saw her.
She smiled and responded, "I see that you have fulfilled your task quite satisfactorily. I hope you left no traces behind."
"Yes boss," old tiger assured her. "Code wiped all the security footage; nobody will know that we were there."
"Good." She said and threw a small bottle with a dropper at Old tiger who quickly caught it. "This is an antidote, one drop is enough your senior brother."
Old tiger wanted to say he was not his senior brother since he was older but he let it slide. The urgency of the situation did not deserve such minor correction. He eyed the small bottle hopefully but warily. Was this really, it? Would it be enough?
"Boss..." he called hesitantly.
She knew that he was hesitant and afraid from the tone of his voice. "Old tiger, I am your boss, the one who you have sworn loyalty to. Trust in me and get that antidote to him as soon as possible. When he regains consciousness, bring him here. I will nurture him back to full health."
Hearing that, old tiger vigorously replied, "Yes boss."
