Chapter 133: T4’s revenge
She approached them with a small red bucket of whatever bait T4 had managed to procure for her.
"Muyang," she said when she approached them. "Why are you carrying her, I thought your plan was to catch the biggest fish in the lake. You wont catch anything if she is playing around with the rod."
"I can do both." Muyang replied arrogantly. "I saved you a spot." He indicated to the chair next to his.
"Mama, mama, fish." Mei-Mei clapped excitedly as she explained what she was doing with her father.
"Yes, Mei-Mei is the best fisher baby in the world." She encouraged the little girl. She was a hopeless case but she could not kill her precious daughter’s enthusiasm. She would always be her biggest cheerleader.
She sat in the chair and handed him the bait, "Use this." She said. "By the way, the crowd is larger than we anticipated, what is going on? "
She was really confused, fishing was an activity for old men usually but very many young people were participating in the activity enthusiastically. Half of the campers were currently at the overly crowded lake side and she couldn’t fathom why.
"It’s those old men." He looked in the direction of his grandfather and his group hopelessly "They have put up a reward of four million for the person who catches the biggest fish today. Now everyone is suddenly interested in fishing."
Now she understood why even women and children were fishing as if they were looking for gold, there was a cash prize on the line. Some people had directly stepped into the water and they were trying to catch fish with their bare hands. Others were fishing with sharp sticks like it was done in the ancient days.
Even a few celebrities were participating and their fans were excitedly cheering them on.
"Daddy, the booth is out of fishing rods." A young boy behind Chi Lian told his father. His nasal voice was an obvious indicator that he was sad and probably about to cry.
