Chapter 272
With a little help from looking at the various stoves in other units, the mage soon grasps the design elements and has a fine collection of them ready to be moved into units. With Lelou, Hui’Jin, and the rest of the mages from the refugees all working on the building the basic structure barely takes any time at all, the barebones residence is ready to let the new tenants start painting and putting down their choice of flooring over the magically created concrete an hour after they started.
With the skills of even these few cultivators, their stay at the Pack is already looking better than what they were allowed on their homeworld. The only problem at the moment is that the pack is running short on Monster Cores.
They’ve got enough to keep creating food for the next week or so, but with an influx of new arrivals and the stones burnt for energy to create the new building, they’re short on what will be necessary to finish getting everyone comfortable and fully furnished in their new homes.
The Core Formation level cultivators are planning to head out hunting, gathering both fresh types of meat for a feast to mark their first meal in a new world and cores to finish the work on their new homes.
The Inscriptionists among them are stunned at the creation spell circle that’s being used to provide all of their daily necessities, as they had very little with them, having been deprived of their possessions before being locked up.
The combination of a magical spell and an Inscription is a foreign concept to them and they’re eager to study it and see if they can replicate it without being mage-type cultivators.
I honestly don’t know what’s possible, but if they can, it opens a whole new set of possibilities for luxury in cultivation worlds. Mages are pretty rare among cultivators, and I’m told that many worlds have never even heard of them. If those worlds could gain a technique like this that any skilled cultivator could use they’d probably view it as divine scripture.
Lala and Hui’Jin are with both the pups and the newly arrived children, letting everyone get to know each other while staying out of the adult’s way. The only one that seems left out is one wolf kin girl who is simply staring intently at me, well away from where the others have gathered.
"What’s the up little wolf? Don’t you want to make new friends?" I ask her with a big smile.
