Chang’s voice sounded breaking the intense silence, the disciples of Yanzhi thought of such measly tricks of testing power to be a joke.
They were attacked by a fierce aura all of a sudden when conversing with King Pingxi. But they wouldn’t actually call it attack, but rather the aura was to inquire about their strength. It was block by Yue who’s face couldn’t be uglier anymore from being so pissed.
How dare such measly tricks be played on the master and mistress, the disciples thought.
"King Pingxi is this how you treat your guests?" Xiao Ling asked angrily and at the same time amused.
King Pingxi reacted quickly, even though he still didn’t know what had happened, as the master of the residence he still had to take the blame and give an explanation. And as the host how could he not explain when his invited esteemed guests were offended.
"Master Yan, Mistress Ling I ask you to forgive such rudeness you’ve encountered in my residence, I promise such thing will never happen again."
Although he didn’t cup nor bow when apologizing, he was humble enough and his words and voice expressed his deep regret and sorry.
The other invited guests, the emperor himself and immortal Pei all had their gazes glued on them. But because their voices wasn’t loud only those who were martial artists were able to hear what they were saying. So they had shocks and were bewildered by how King Pingxi was so humble to those strangers. The emperor just sat in his chair with blackened face, that was because King Pingxi didn’t bring guests of his to worship him the emperor, the dragon of the country, wasn’t that a slap to the face.
Yanzhi took his eyes off immortal Pei, with such tricks to test him, he couldn’t say that he wasn’t angered at the moment. But still it only left a little impression on him, and he had no intention to pursue.
"That is to say I will only allow such disrespect against this deity once, a second time and I’ll flatten this place to the ground along with everyone here" Yanzhi threatened with a nonchalant tone and attitude as if telling the weather today.
King Pingxi’s eyes twitched and broke into terrible sweat, he wasn’t very sure of Yanzhi’s strength but something deep within his soul told him that what the man said he could really do it.
