Chapter 70: Ch. 33 Part 2
"Clang! Clang! Clang!"
Yanzhi fiddling with the arrow in between his fingers tilted his head to watch ahead at Yue and her siblings cutting down the bandits, alongside them were the struggling guards escorting the two carriages which were stopped by the bandits. He threw the arrow in a nonchalant way towards a bandit who was about to cut down a fat man, the arrow pierced into the head of the bandit who fell with a thud twitching a few times before his breath ceased. The fat man who was saved by the arrow Yanzhi threw clenched his chest panting scared, he scurried up and walked approached his savior. The fat man cupped his hands
".....this master my name is Luo Cheng Yuan a merchant. I thank this master for saving us" seeing Yanzhi’s peculiar green eyes the fat man was stunned with shock, he stuttered and said with gratitude feeling thankful.
"You should rather thank my wife, if not for him i wouldn’t have intervened" Yanzhi sneered and spat back coldly. The fat man smiled bitterly. He didn’t take Yanzhi’s cold words to heart because he knew that Yanzhi and his group were innocent people who got involved in their fight. Since the beginning the bandits were after his carriage, he was a merchant with lots of goods in the carriages. The fat man turned to Xiao Ling and cupped, "little brother we’re very sorry for getting you involved in our troubles. Without the help from your guards over there my family and I would’ve lost our lives today" the fat man who introduced himself as Luo Cheng Yuan bowed respectfully and said whole heartedly. Xiao Ling walked to him in a leisurely way and helped Luo Cheng Yuan up "it’s nothing! it’s nothing! Us getting involved in your troubles was just a coincidence, it was bound to happen since we were also using route as you." Xiao Ling said with a smile.
Luo Cheng Yuan nodded to his words before walking back to the carriage with Yanzhi and Xiao Ling walking alongside him. "Master all the bandits here have been taken care off" Yue upon seeing them walked to them and saluted while saying. Yanzhi nodded "what about those in hiding?" he asked. "Elder brother Bee went to deal with the ones in hiding" she answered respectfully. Bee moved within their shadows and went into Xiao Ling’s shadow. "Master our sides too has been taken care off, what should we do with the bodies?" Bee asked. "Xiang gong Bee said their done with their side too" Xiao Ling informed YanZhi. Yanzhi noticed him staring at the corpses of the bandits with a complicated expression "they are weak, not suitable for you to use them as undead warriors" he said to Xiao Ling.
"I know...but i wanted to extract their soul force" Xiao Ling explained.
Luo Cheng Yuan: "...???" who brought his family to greet and thank them chances upon their conversation. He almost had questions marks on his face confused about what they were talking about.
"No. 6 and No.7 move the bodies into the bushes and gather them at one place along with the ones taken care of by Bee and the others, Chang help them." Yanzhi instructed, the guards and Chang saluted and started to drag the corpses away.
"You heard Xiang gong, do as he said" Xiao Ling said to Bee before Bee moved between the shadows back into the bushes.
