Yanzhi left the decision of whether to attend doctor Shi’s and Jinhua’s marriage ceremony to Xiao Ling to decide. Xiao Ling decided for them to attend, Xiao Ling’s liking of the two was on the positive side so he intends on making doctor Shi and Jinhua their family friends. And for Yanzhi he had no care for such worldly relationships, for someone like him who had witnessed the birth and death of many mortals for eons. What use was investing and maintaining relationships which was bound to end with him being the only one left? He would sometimes intervene with heavens will by using other means to prolong the lives of the mortals he encounters once or twice, teaching them the path of cultivating to immortality. But when one couldn’t attain immortality he no longer intervenes in the will of the heavens leaving destiny to take it’s course. And it was the same way with doctor Shi and Jinhua. Yanzhi cared not but since his little wife wanted to maintain the relationship between them then him who recognized Xiao Ling as his dao would do his all to make sure that Xiao Ling’s wishes are attended to, even if that meant interfering with the will of the heavens.
It’s been a week and a couple of days since the departure of doctor Shi and Jinhua. It was finally the day for Xiao Ling and Yanzhi to also make their departure and follow along. For the previous days a lot of preys were hunted by Lin and his brothers which Xiao Ling used for beef jerky and made a lot of dry foods for their journey to the capital. Things that needed to be taken care of before leaving were also taken care of. Yanzhi bought the lands at the entrance of the village, both him and Xiao Ling decided on that the auction house to be built in the village. Since the house wouldn’t take long to be completed they decided to have the location for the auction house to be built ready. The blueprint was drafted and given to brother Song along with the money for it’s building. The journey from their small village to the capital would take about a week’s time without any delays along the way. Preparing for their journey didn’t take much, since they have no intentions of staying long in the capital they only prepared for a month’s worth necessities.
Yue, Liu and Chang were the ones selected by Xiao Ling and Yanzhi to escort them to the capital. Two of the guards were selected to guard them, Xile and Lu Lixin to take turns of leading the horse carriage. The village head hearing that his son was being taken to the capital was overly excited and boastful, the village head and his wife were thankful and belated about their decision to scurry favors with Yanzhi rather than the Jun family. Lin and Feng who were left behind were saddened and pained knowing that they would part ways with their master for days. But Yanzhi just couldn’t take all of them along when in the first place they weren’t going to the capital to play and they wouldn’t stay there for long. Also it was necessary to leave the others behind to take care of things at home and also Xiao Ling’s restaurant.
Lin and Feng put away their dissatisfactions as they stood outside the door to send their master and mistress away, they watched with heavy hearts while the carriage was being lead away by Lu Lixin and Xile seating beside him at the coach seat. Both dressed in their sect robes which was Lixin in his white robes and Xile in servant clothes. The two horses mounted by the guards dressed in all plain black robes rode beside the moving carriage, matching the paces which the carriage moving.
"Ahh this Yanzhi and his wife are really leaving wonderful and happy lives, just look at their carriage. Very different and pretty. Where do you think they’re going? Ah!"
The villagers whispered amongst themselves seeing the carriage being led out of the village and the two escort guards.
"No one knows where they’re going. They even have money to buy many servants and dressed those servants in very good clothes. Ah and did you know, my husband who’s working as a foreman where they are building their house said the house Yanzhi and his wife are building is going to be very big! He said it’s even the biggest house he has ever seen and even no one in the county has yet to build such house!"
A middle aged woman said earning gaps and bewildered looks from her fellows.
