They turned to look at Yue and the others with sweat beads forming on their foreheads, "they follow mine and my wife’s orders, they only act on our orders. So you don’t need to worry about it...." Yanzhi said as he glanced at them with serious demeanor with his eyes cold "nothing will happen to you if you don’t try to harm us." Doctor Shi and Jinhua shivered trembling hearing the threat in his tone, Xiao Ling just listen without saying anything but he was in support of Yanzhi’s words to them. "Your excellency we dare not, we dare not. We would never tell a soul about what we saw here" Jinhua pleaded, doctor Shi was on the verge of break down. He knew a few things about the Jianghu world but he didn’t know to this extent that there were such terrifying things in the world. Yanzhi chuckled lightly "it’s not that you won’t tell, it’s juts that you couldn’t even if you wanted to since i could erase the memory of what you saw" he said lightly and nonchalantly. All three people around him turned their attentions in shock, even his disciples where also in shock of his words which made them brought their attentions more on Yanzhi.
"Xiang gong is what you’re saying true?" Xiao Ling asked with a skeptical look, Yanzhi turned to him knowing that he couldn’t go on not letting Xiao Ling know about him being able to probe into the souls of people. "En, it’s one of the techniques i created. It’s called the soul probing technique, i can look into a person’s soul. I could erase a person’s memories and tell when a person’s is lying or not as well as know a person’s thoughts" he calmly explained and all three people had bewildered looks, especially Xiao Ling who at that moment doubt soon took over his heart doubting whether he could trust Yanzhi or not. "You can trust me, i have no intention of harming you nor have I ever had such intentions in the first place" the dagger Yanzhi crafted for him was taken out of his inventory landing on Yanzhi’s neck after hearing Yanzhi’s words, Yanzhi read his mind answering to his thoughts which made him feel threatened.
His heart was in a dilemma as he didn’t want to doubt Yanzhi at that moment yet with such a terrifying skill he couldn’t help but bring himself to doubt Yanzhi asking himself whether he had ever had his memories erased by Yanzhi. Xiao Ling’s thoughts terrified himself, at that moment he couldn’t help but question himself about what was true and what was a lie because with such a skill to probe into the soul and heart, it could also create illusions he thought. Both doctor Shi and Jinhua gasped seeing such turn of events, ghostly aura surrounding Xiao Ling making him looked terrifying than what they had witnessed, they broke in cold sweat. "Master!" Chang and Baihu shouted getting up from the horse stance, Liu seeing this made an attempt to step forward but was held back by Yue, she looked at Yue with a confused and angry look but Yue just shook her head to her. Liu stood her ground but her heart was in a mess, Yue having witness such a situation before knew that it was better for their master and mistress to resolve their problems.
And knowing the strength of Xiao Ling she knew better not to get involved so she stopped Liu who didn’t know yet how powerful their mistress was. "Have....you ever used it on me?" Xiao Ling asked with doubts, Yanzhi stared straight into his eyes with seriousness. "Yes" he answered swiftly, Xiao Ling’s heart tightened beating fiercely "What?!" he asked in angered putting more strength on the dagger.
