Chapter 24: Black Cloud at Faircallen Skies
After listening to the middle-aged woman, Agares hurriedly left the tavern and took his horse.
Even though it was night, the man was desperate to get to Faircallen Village as soon as possible. He was very anxious about the condition of Priestess Ara and Nadia’s family.
During the trip, Agares came across several wild animals that chased him. However, he had no time to fight them. The sooner Agares arrived in Faircallen, the better.
’I hope they are all safe and have managed to evacuate to the city,’ replied Agares, anxiously.
After passing through one forest, Agares’ back ached from riding non-stop through the dense forest. Agares had to endure the pain so that he could arrive in Faircallen quickly.
Sure enough, just as Agares had expected! He saw a small group of bandits blocking his path in the middle of the forest.
There were seven of them, five men and two women. All seven stood with their old weapons, threatening anyone who crossed the forest path at night.
"You? Where are you going?" asked one of the men, pointing his red axe at Agares.
"Get out of my way."
"HAHA! You can’t pass before you pay the toll."
Agares was silent, his eyes sharp as he looked at each bandit. They looked so confident that they could kill Agares, even though they didn’t know who Agares really was.
