She moved several meters in the blink of an eye, stopped close to the wall, then turned and returned just as quickly; her movements were smooth, with no wasted effort, and a smile formed on Roman’s face.
"That is the speed enchantment. I was not using too much mana, so this is not even close, to my maximum speed"
"That’s really impressive," Roman said, a smile still on his face. He couldn’t tell how much mana she infused in the spell so he would have to test it in his own.
She felt her cheeks starting to get warm at the praise. She quickly pushed the feeling aside and continued explaining, as Roman was still staring at her.
"The important thing is mana control. If you use little mana the speed enchantment will not give you much of a boost. If you use too much mana you will waste mana and might put too much strain on your body. You need to find the balance between both"
"If you are fighting someone you should not keep the speed enchantment active all the time. It is better to activate the speed enchantment when you need to dodge, close the distance, or escape from an attack," She finished.
Roman nodded; her explanation was what Roman had already guessed from watching her movements. The spell circle was simple enough for him to remember. The real challenge was controlling the mana and making sure the enchantment worked as he intended.
"Can you show me the circle one time?" he asked.
"Of course!"
She formed the spell circle again letting it float in front of her palm before it disappeared. This time, Roman paid closer attention to how she formed the circle; he watched the order in which the symbols appeared and noticed she didn’t create the circle all at once. Instead, she built the circle in stages starting with the ring before adding the inner symbols and connecting lines.
Roman knew how spell circles were formed, he just wanted to get it down properly, he was thinking of recording the spell circles he hadn’t gotten on a book, but it was redundant since he could remember it, currently he had three spells he wanted.
First was the gravity rune spell he was still practicing, though he was going to put that aside till he solved his mana problems, and the other was the barrier spell Evelyn’s second-in-command used which could cloak a certain area, and now this enchantment, though this was much easier than the other two.
"That’s enough of the speed enchantment for now" she said after a moment. "I can show you other enchantments, if you want, that way when dueling with an enchanter you already know what to expect from the fight"
Roman smiled at her. "Don’t worry. I’m going to take my time with this one"
"Alright then, I would have loved to duel you properly, but there’s no barrier, and we might end up scaring people" She replied.
"That’s true, we’ll pick this up another time" Roman said as he looked at the sky.
The sun was starting to dip below the horizon casting a reddish glow across the capital. By this time tomorrow Roman had no idea where he would be, but he couldn’t wait. If there was one thing he wanted more than having sex, it was getting stronger.
Initially he had thought he would be the only one to undergo rigorous training, but now he was happy that Ava was going to go through the same with him; unlike him, she might not want to undergo the mana overload.
Roman and the guard walked back to the door of the house, but before they arrived, the door was pushed open, and one of the maids stepped outside.
The guard froze in surprise as the maid was completely naked due to the rule Roman gave earlier.
"Is something wrong?" Roman asked as the maid was staring at him.
"Miss Anya asked me to call you," She replied before heading back inside.
"Did you see her? She was na...naked." The guard turned towards Roman who wasn’t moved in the slightest; he just nodded and walked towards the door while she stood still staring till he was out of sight.
Roman walked in, and the maid that Anya sent stood at the entrance to the kitchen while the others were inside the kitchen, but he didn’t pay much attention to them as he walked towards the rooms, and stopped in front of Anya’s room.
’I’m sure she’ll want me to do stuff now that it’s evening, and if I start doing stuff, I’m not going to stop till Amelia and Fiona join. You know what, I’m sure I can handle a quickie before the actual stuff’
Roman pushed the door open and stepped inside. Anya was seated in the bed waiting for Roman, and once the door was pushed open, her body shifted towards the door and a bright smile formed on her face.
"I could see you training with the guard from over here. Are you angry that I interrupted your training?" Anya asked.
"If you could see, then you’d know that I was already done; isn’t that why you sent the maid to call me?" Roman replied as he sat on the bed beside her.
Anya was totally naked on the bed, but Roman didn’t pay too much attention; if he did, he was going to be the one pouncing on her instead. Anya was beautiful, too beautiful and her body was just perfect; her breasts and ass were just the right size for her body, and with the way she turned towards the door, he could see a little of her pink slit.
"Ohh, you could tell... I thought you were going to do a show of magic. I can’t help it, I love to watch you cast spells"
"Because I’m your brother, or because the thought of a male being powerful is attractive," Roman replied with a smile as he lay down on the bed, his legs still touching the ground.
