Chapter 255: A raven’s pair quest [12]
Alithe pointed in different directions as the two of them rode the vine, the thick tendril carrying them through back of the large houses.
They remained hidden from plain view, their presence obscured by the darkness and their careful maneuvering with the vine moving quickly, its smooth surface gliding through the air beneath them as it carried them onward.
Alithe would point to the right, and the vine would turn to the right, maneuvering through the darkness and avoiding the rabbits.
Then, after a good while, Alithe tapped Coco on the shoulder, and Coco immediately nodded in understanding before she tapped the vine beneath them, signaling for it to stop.
The vine obeyed her command, its movement coming to a halt, and the two of them were now stationary, suspended in the air a few feet above the ground.
Coco scanned the surroundings, her gaze fixed on the buildings and streets out of the alley they were in.
The town was mostly quiet, with only a few rabbits wandering around, their large forms casting long shadows in the darkness.
They appeared to be near the edge of the town, away from the center of the town where the rabbits were gathered.
It was difficult to tell exactly where they were, as the darkness of the night made it hard to see, but the position they were in allowed Coco to see the town, and she had a sense of the layout of the area now.
