Coco watched as the egg flew through the air, its bright glow cutting through the darkness like a light bulb thrown blindly into nothing, but darkness.
The egg landed on the creature’s sludging body, the surface of the creature rippling as the egg landed on it and the egg seemed to sink into the creature’s body, disappearing from view as if it had been swallowed by the mass of goo.
Coco stared at the spot where the egg had disappeared into the monster’s body, her heart pounding in her chest.
The monster stood there for a moment, its glowing eyes fixed on her, before it let out a low guttural growl, but instead of lunging at her, the monster’s body began to shudder and convulse, its form pulsing and contracting.
Coco watched, her eyes wide with fascination and uncertainty, as the monster’s body slowly got consumed by tremors.
The sludge haunter fought against the force that was sucking it in, its body pulsing and undulating as it struggled to retain its form, but whatever force was pulling it inwards was too strong,
The monster’s body quivered and trembled, the slime-like substance that made up its form twisting and contorting as it continued getting sucked into its own body.
Coco watched as its body grew smaller and smaller, the goo shrinking at a rapid rate.
The water around the sludge haunter churned and swirled as the monster’s form shrank, the water being pulled into the vortex inside the monster’s body, and it only grew stronger as it completely drained of all the monster’s volume.
