Chapter 338 Back to home
After a long and exhausting journey, they encountered a few wild animals along the way. But with Kyra surrounded by strong, capable males, there was no real danger, and they dealt with any threat easily. In just two days, they reached the Celestia.
Their first stop in Celestia was Damon’s hoarding place—a he took every diamond and chest of ruby from his hidden Cave and transferred them into Kyra’s space capsule, which she found incredibly amusing. Watching him hoard even more for her made her laugh, thinking he was rather cute in this possessive, almost childlike way. His need to provide and protect always had a soft side to it that she appreciated.
Damon then led them to the place where he had first met Kyra, filling her space with endless racks of beautiful clothes. The memory of their first meeting stirred something deep in her heart, and she couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia.
Afterward, they made their way to Damon’s home, where they were warmly greeted by the leader and healer. Hearing that Damon had officially become Kyra’s mate, the two were hesitant to let them leave.
Despite their reluctance, the leader and healer blessed their union and offered their best wishes for the journey ahead. Damon respectfully thanked them for their kindness, and with that, they prepared to continue their travels.
"We have found Sandra," Leader Marc said suddenly, his voice heavy with news that caused Kyra to freeze in place.
"She is dead," he added, his words hanging in the air.
Kyra’s breath caught in her throat. Damon, standing beside her, looked equally shocked. He had never expected this. A deep sadness flashed across his face, mixed with disappointment. After everything Sandra had done, Damon had wanted to end her life himself—to feel his own claws sinking into her for what she had caused.
As Damon processed the news, neither he nor Kyra noticed the glint in Silas’s eyes. His gaze sparkled, an almost imperceptible smile playing at the corners of his lips. Though he said nothing, the flicker of satisfaction in his expression was unmistakable.
It was as if something he had planned had fallen perfectly into place.
After the emotional farewell, they resumed their journey once again. As they passed by the Emerald Bay, they weren’t sure of the exact path forward. Yet, Silas seemed to know, and Oceanus appeared equally confident.
Suddenly, Kyra’s eyes lit up, a spark of realization crossing her mind as she thought of something.
