Damon stared at him in shock for a moment, his expression caught between surprise and delight. Then a smile broke across his sharp features, softening his usual intense demeanor. "What a brave little eagle you are," he said, gently tousling Meeko’s hair.
Meeko beamed, clearly proud of himself. "Damon, you saved pretty sister and me! You’re the best!"
Kyra watched the exchange with a warm smile, her heart swelling at the bond forming between the two. "And you’re my little hero too, Meeko," she said, crouching down to ruffle his hair.
Just then, Lucas joined them, plopping down on the sofa beside Meeko. "What’s all this hero talk? I want to be a hero too!" he said, puffing out his chest dramatically.
"Okay, everyone can be a hero!" Meeko said, looking back and forth between the two of them with enthusiasm. "We can have a hero team!"
"Count me in!" Lucas laughed, throwing an arm around Meeko’s shoulder. "What’s our first mission, Little Angel?"
"Finding treasure!" Meeko declared, eyes sparkling with excitement. "And making sure everyone has fun!"
"Then let’s get to it!" Lucas replied, jumping up and pumping his fist in the air.
Alessandro chuckled, shaking his head in amusement as he watched the two males rally together, his sharp expression softening."Looks like we’ve got ourselves a proper adventure crew. Just remember, heroes need to eat first."
