Chapter 248 No more fear(2)
"Kyra."
Her eyes fluttered open again. She rubbed them sleepily, not fully awake. "Hmm..." she mumbled.
"Kyra."
"Hmmm..." she responded, groggily.
Then, her Beast’s voice screamed in her mind, panicked and desperate: ’Don’t answer back, Kyra! Don’t answer back!’
Kyra’s heart skipped a beat as she suddenly froze. Her eyes widened with fear as realization struck her. Her Beast’s warning echoed in her mind, and with it came a deep sense of dread.
"What..." she began, but her voice faltered when the atmosphere around her shifted violently. The room’s warmth was sucked away, replaced by a bitter cold that chilled her to the bone. The once-dark room transformed, bathed in an eerie, unnatural red glow that seemed to pulse with malevolent energy.
She scrambled up in bed, her eyes darting around as panic rose in her chest. "Luca! Damon! Wake up!" she shouted, her voice trembling with fear. She reached out to shake them, but they didn’t stir. They remained eerily still, as if trapped in some otherworldly slumber.
Kyra gasped, her breath caught in her throat as she felt something cold and suffocating wrap around her neck. It was malevolent, like the fingers of a ghost, tightening their grip with every passing second. Her body was yanked from the bed as if invisible hands had seized her, pulling her to the center of the room with violent force. She hit the floor hard, the impact rattling through her bones, but the darkness didn’t relent.
