Chapter 236 Counsil meeting (2)
Murmurs of concern rippled through the crowd as he spoke, the weight of their situation settling in. "We have always been a strong and resilient tribe, but these are difficult times. We must find a way to support each other and ensure that no one is left to suffer in the cold or go hungry."
Healer paused, allowing the gravity of the situation to sink in before looking to Marc for guidance on the next steps.
Marc stepped forward, his presence commanding the attention of everyone gathered. He scanned the crowd, his eyes filled with a mixture of determination and concern. When he spoke, his voice was strong and loud.
"We stand here today as a tribe that has faced adversity before, and we will face it again. But never have we been so tested as we are now. The attack we endured has left us not only mourning the loss of our loved ones but also struggling to survive the harsh winter that lies ahead. Our food supplies are dwindling, and the cold is biting deeper with each passing day.
But let me remind you of who we are. We are a people forged in the fires of hardship. We do not break; we bend and adapt. We do not despair; we find hope in the darkest of times. This is our way, and this will be our strength as we face the challenges before us.
We must come together as one, as we always have. Those who have more must share with those who have less. Our worrier must be more vigilant, our gatherers more resourceful. Every person in this tribe has a role to play in ensuring our survival. We cannot afford to let fear or hopelessness divide us.
We will seek out new sources of food, even in this harsh winter. We will protect what little we have left, and we will defend our people from any further threats. But above all, we will not give in to despair. Our ancestors survived worse, and so will we."
Marc’s voice grew softer, but no less intense. "Remember, every challenge we overcome makes us stronger. Every hardship we face brings us closer together. We will endure this, and when the snows melt and the spring returns, we will stand proud as a town that did not falter."
Marc voice resolute as he addressed the members gathered around.
