Chapter 39 - 39 Eleventh
Eden furrowed his brow and said, "Toma, let's go. Your brother must be waiting for you." Toma nodded in agreement.
"Sure thing," he replied, then turned to her. "Kyra, I'll play with you tomorrow, okay?"
Kyra smiled warmly. "I'll be waiting," she said, watching as they both headed downstairs. Once they were out of sight, she closed her door.
Suddenly, she felt arms wrap around her from behind. She stiffened as she felt his breath on her neck. "Don't talk to that guy again. I don't like him," he murmured.
"Why?" Kyra turned to face him, raising her eyebrows as she walked towards the table where their food was.
"Don't ask. I wanted to punch his ugly face when I saw him," Lucas said, plopping down on the bed and leaning back with his hands supporting him.
"Let's forget about him and eat something. You must be hungry," Kyra suggested, sitting beside him with the food plate.
"You eat. It's yours. I can't take food meant for females," he said, turning his face away.
"Lucas," Kyra called, but he didn't respond.
