I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain

Chapter 253: Call Me Daddy

Chapter 253: Call Me Daddy

At the hospital, Qiu Qianwei stayed close, keeping a constant vigil. Her own student had been one of the ones poisoned, and she wasn’t about to leave until there was clarity on their condition.

Liu Yue and Ji Shuyao, both professors in Qingling like her, didn’t leave either. They kept her company in the waiting room, quiet and concerned.

As for Wang Haoran—he had even less reason to go. After all, Lin Chen would be returning soon. And he was going to call him Daddy.

That alone made staying worthwhile.

While waiting, Wang Haoran finally learned why the three professors had gathered at the hospital in the first place: three music students had been poisoned. It was serious.

Even the Divine Doctor Bian Suwen couldn’t cure it right away. She had apparently mentioned the need to consult her Martial Niece, Divine Doctor Xue.

But to Wang Haoran—someone who had fully mastered the 【Supreme Poison Scripture】—this was child’s play. His poison arts were second to none, and his understanding of poison had reached the realm of God-tier. There wasn’t a poison in this world he couldn’t unravel.

After catching wind of the case through Qiu Qianwei, he’d discreetly gone to check on the poisoned students. It didn’t take long for him to confirm it—they’d been struck by a rare, almost mythical toxin recorded deep within the 【Supreme Poison Scripture】.

Highly unstable and incredibly destructive once activated, it was no wonder Bian Suwen had been thrown off. But to Wang Haoran, purging it would be laughably easy. Ever since he refined his own body into one that was immune to all poisons, even his blood had transformed into an antidote of legendary potency.

His blood alone could cleanse this poison entirely. Still, he was a villain. Doing good deeds for free? That wasn’t in his playbook.

And besides, the students were under tight watch. The hospital had locked things down to the point that just inspecting them had been a struggle—contact was out of the question. Saving them directly would require brute force, and that was just unnecessary drama.

The poison wouldn’t explode for another three days. Until then, the victims would remain stable—as long as no one made things worse with reckless medication.

With that settled, Wang Haoran lost interest and headed to the hospital rooftop to breathe in some fresh air. The stench inside was unpleasant, as hospitals often were.

Not long after, Bian Suwen and Lin Chen arrived.

They’d already called Qiu Qianwei on the way and confirmed that Wang Haoran was still in the building.

“Seventh Sister, where’s Wang Haoran?” Bian Suwen asked the moment she saw her.

“He went up to the rooftop,” Qiu Qianwei replied.

Without hesitation, Bian Suwen rushed toward the rooftop. Lin Chen hesitated for a moment, then reluctantly followed behind her.

On the rooftop, Wang Haoran had dragged a lounge chair into the sun, covered his face with a newspaper, and was basking quietly in the warm light.

The sunlight today was brilliant, casting a soothing warmth over his body. For him, it was a rare moment of peace and leisure.

But for Bian Suwen and Lin Chen, there was nothing relaxing about this moment at all.

She stopped at his side, hesitated briefly, then said, “Earlier, I was in a bad mood. I spoke harshly. I apologize.”

Wang Haoran moved the newspaper off his face and replied casually, “It’s fine.”

“I’m glad you’re not upset.” A look of relief softened Bian Suwen’s icy features. Her gaze toward him grew a touch gentler.

“Anything else? If not, I’d like to keep sunbathing,” Wang Haoran said.

“There is something,” Bian Suwen quickly added, “I… I wanted to ask if you’re willing to sell your Bugatti Veyron.”

“I just bought that car. I’ve barely even driven it. Why would I sell it?” he asked, feigning confusion.

Bian Suwen kept her tone pleasant. “I really like that car. That’s why I’m asking if you’d be willing to part with it.”

“Well, that’s easy. Just go order one. Problem solved.”

“I need it now,” she said, her voice tight with urgency.

“Now? Why the rush?” he asked, knowing full well what she wasn’t saying.

“This… It’s not something I can explain. Will you sell it?” she pressed.

Wang Haoran curled his lips faintly. The deal with Cheng Rui wasn’t even that big of a secret—yet she still chose to keep him in the dark. That said everything. She didn’t trust him. She treated him like an outsider.

With that thought, his tone cooled. “No.”

“I can pay extra,” Bian Suwen said quickly. “Name your price.”

“Do I look like I need money?” he replied bluntly.

She fell silent.

She’d spent enough time around him to know the truth. The Wang family owned assets worth billions. As the sole heir, Wang Haoran had never known lack. Money meant nothing to him.

Beside them, Lin Chen forced out a smile and said, “Big Brother, I have a Pagani. It’s about the same price. How about we swap?”

“I prefer Bugattis,” Wang Haoran replied without even blinking.

“I can add money to the trade. What do you think?”

“No need to add anything,” Wang Haoran said lightly. “Just call me Daddy, and I’ll consider trading with you.”

“You’re only in your twenties. If I call you that, it’ll age you twenty years. I think I’ll stick with Big Brother,” Lin Chen replied, putting on his innocent little boy act, trying to bargain.

Wang Haoran didn’t even reply. He simply pulled the newspaper back over his face.

The message was clear: No room for discussion.

Bian Suwen glanced at Lin Chen, eyes quietly pleading.

Lin Chen’s face scrunched in misery.

“Xiao Chen… It’s just a word. It won’t cost you a piece of your soul,” Bian Suwen coaxed him softly.

He hesitated, then slowly reached over, pulled the newspaper from Wang Haoran’s face, and muttered with a bitter expression, “Daddy.”

For someone born to be the center of the world, calling a Villain “Daddy” was a major hit to fate itself.

Wang Haoran was thrilled. The satisfaction of the moment ran deep.

Still, he put on a disapproving frown. “That didn’t sound sincere at all. Can’t you at least try to mean it?”

“I—” Lin Chen started to retort, but when Bian Suwen shot him a pointed look, he swallowed his protest, forced a cutesy smile, and said again, “Daddy.”

Second time around, the reward was slightly lower—but still generous.

Wang Haoran reached out and pinched Lin Chen’s cheek with deliberate force, rubbing it in. “Good boy. Say it again.”

Lin Chen clenched his fists, swallowed his pride, and with a plastic smile said once more, “Daddy.”

“Again.”

Lin Chen was practically fuming now, but he still managed to squeeze out, “Daddy.”

“Keep going.”

At this point, Lin Chen was fed up. He took a deep breath and barked, “Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!”
