Chapter 57: Counter-Surveillance and Tracking
Burbank, Nova Theater.
Fans dressed in Sex and the City merch stood in a glowing line outside, eagerly awaiting entry.
Hawk, wearing a gold wig and a T-shirt featuring Sarah Parker’s image, blended into the crowd. A bag slung over his shoulder, he moved forward with measured steps.
Edward, meanwhile, circled to the back of the theater in his car, finding a discreet spot to wait.
Inside, Hawk passed the ticket check and followed the crowd into the theater. He chose a seat with a clear view of the stage, noting the bright floodlights already set up for media activities.
Professional entertainment outlets were present, but Hawk wasn’t worried about competition. Unlike him, they’d simply report what the studio wanted them to.
The theater buzzed with activity as most fans remained standing, milling around and chatting. Hawk adjusted his plain glasses and imitated their enthusiasm to avoid drawing attention.
