Chapter 24: QUESTIONS
Henry used his body to shield May as the demon's blood poured on them and shut his eyes tight as he waited for anything that might happen next, but nothing did. He opened his eyes, surprised by the fact that what the demon poured on them was ordinary blood.
"Nothing happened," Henry said as he stared at the body and watched the blood slowly evaporate into the night sky along with the demon. "If it was just blood, then why did she pour her blood on us"
Henry's eyes widened.
"May, are you alright?" Henry asked.
"Ahhh!!!!, Arghhh!!!" May yelled and held her face. "It burns!!!, It burns!!!. Please, make it stop!!!"
"It's okay," Henry said and hugged May. So much for asking her out. "It's going to be fine, just calm down. Let me get you home; it's too dangerous," Henry said and separated himself from May as she stopped screaming, and to his surprise, there was no injury on her face. "May, your face... there... there is no scar."
"What!!?" She said and felt her face with her hand, slowly and gently rubbing her hand on her face.
May fell and began shaking violently, Henry tried to calm her but he couldn't.
_Is she transforming into a... demon_
"Don't tell me you're a..." Henry tried to speak as May jumped on him, he held her back and struggled to push her back. "May, snap out of it."
_That demon. It wasn't trying to harm us, it spread its blood on us knowing fully well about May's open wound. Although I shielded May, just a single drop was all it took to transfer from May into a demon_
