The speed of this monster was terrifyingly fast.
Brian didn’t fire just one shot, he switched his M4 to full auto mode.
A thirty-round STANAG magazine faced the M4 assault rifle set to fire 700-800 rounds per minute and was emptied in just three seconds.
Brian didn’t even have time to check his combat results before he pulled out the kind of hand speed he had honed during decades of bachelorhood. Almost the instant the magazine was empty, he had already switched it out for a new one.
With a couple of clicks, the empty chamber cycled, the internal spring pushing the new rounds into place to fire again, the muzzle flashing with new gunfire.
Just as Brian had said before.
Accuracy is not the point.
His shooting speed had always been very fast.

Under the light of the tactical flashlight on the body, the hairless monster moved so fast, it seemed as though it had instant teleportation hacks. It darted back and forth, leaving trails like afterimages, brushing past the hot aftermath of the bullets as if it were a ghost.
