There was another pause on the other end before Noah’s voice came on strong.
"I should be there with her, Lucius," his voice caught in his throat "I should have been there. She needs me and I’m here...".
"Your Majesty, the Luna is fine. I’m sure and I promise she’s been taken care of. By tomorrow, she’ll be home with you and you don’t have to worry. For tonight, you need to look after the Kingdom and let us look after our Luna. Please,".
After a while, he chuckled dryly "You’re right," he said, "I’ll be here, let me know if there’s any other news,".
After the call ended, I took a deep breath, looking up to the sky filled with stars. It was going to be a long night indeed. Moving towards the soldiers who had a big fire going on, I cleared my throat to get their attention.
"Thank. You all for today," I started "Rescuing one of the most important people in Moon Whisper is a great honor indeed and I want to applaud every one of you for making it possible. We won’t be leaving tonight and I apologize for the inconvenience..." I paused, as my eyes scanned their faces.
"However, the mission this night is greater than what we had before. We’re the keep the Luna safe until tomorrow. So, yes, we can party all we want but we must bear in mind that our Luna is with us and will depend on us to keep her safe. Stay alert and remain our drill,".
They all chorused a "Yessir!" in unison.
