Noah POV
"You know for a moment, I wanted to drown myself in ecstasy that you truly came to check up on me and not another avenue to come beg for a favour. Do you think I am a fool, Selene? In your wildest imaginations does it seem that I do not know what I am doing? Is that what it seems to you because you have to let me know what makes you so brazen to the point that you don’t give a damn if you’re wounding my heart with everything you do,".
"For moon’s sake, Noah!" she sighed, haven’t we had enough of this argument today? Are you not tired of saying the same thing repeatedly? What do you want from me that will prove to you that I truly care about you and that this narrative you have of me in your head that I am a leech is false,".
"Wow!" I swallowed hard with a scoff "It’s alright, my dear. Tell Xavier I said No! no amount of begging from him or anyone else would change my mind and also told him to stop sending people to me. I am already pissed as it is, another more messenger from him and I might have to add to his sentence since it seems I didn’t do enough,".
"Don’t be insensitive, Noah," Selene sighed "He says that if Jared is made to rule over the Coalition that a lot of unpleasant things will happen. Shouldn’t you try to listen to reasons first before you conclude,".
"And I told you, Selene, I am done with that Chapter. I think you have to leave right now. I am tired and would like to rest. I’ll see you tomorrow at 9 am. Please do not be late. If you need anything, just ask Reid... he will be more than happy to help you,".
I rose to my feet and crossed the room to the door which I opened and held it slightly ajar. I didn’t want to give her any other option but to leave. She eyed me with disbelief at my actions probably but after shaking her head for a few seconds, she pranced past me and walked out of the room.
I sighed with relief and quickly rushed to the bathroom, then knocked thrice on the door. A second later, I heard the lock of the bathroom click open and Brooke’s angry face stared at me. She had both hands on her hips and thankfully I was also angry too.
"I thought you said you were going to make me your consort, why did you push me inside the bathroom? Don’t you think more than anyone, Selene should first be aware that we’ve taken our relationship a step further," she said.
