Chapter 35: Luna for three days...
Xavier POV
One more minute in that room – I would have lost it.
Her lips, her eyes, the way she touched me... I closed my eyes trying to calm my raging desires. All these years without being with Selene didn’t diminish what I felt for her. Before she left, I and Colton would secretly look forward to every full moon with her.
Not only did we rejuvenate, but Selene had me pinning for her every single day although I didn’t show it. I ended up at the rooftop of the hospital and leaned against the wall, trying to catch my breath.
A moment later, Colton notified me that Lucius was coming. Sighing, I push myself away from the wall wondering if he had gathered the extra information, I had asked him to look into.
"Alpha," he called out before he burst the door open "Alpha," he called again looking around.
"I’m here, Lucius," I said quietly noticing that he looked frantic "What’s wrong?" I asked
"Alpha Kurtis have breached our borders downtown. I had Theo and some of the soldiers go to the villages to evacuate the people. We don’t know if he’ll stop to rest or would continue with the journey tonight but our spies are updating me with information every 20 minutes," he said in one breath.
I didn’t even bat an eyelid; it was as if I’d been expecting it. Since our last fracas with Alpha Kurtis and the foxes, I knew this was bound to happen.
