Selene POV
A gasp escaped my lips as Belinda emerged from the shadow wearing a coy smile.
"Well, well, well... what are the chances of witnessing a murder by the Beta and Luna," she clapped her hands. "Hello Selene, it’s good to have you back,".
"Stay out of this, Belinda," Lucius said quietly and grabbed my hands. "Let’s go,".
"If you as much as move an inch, I promise I’ll take videos of you and her plotting to kill the foxes and send it to Xavier,".
"And you think he’ll believe you?" Lucius scoffed. "Alright, do whatever you want, Belinda. I’m sure Xavier would be thrilled when he discovers your real identity, too. You snitch on us, and I’ll tattle on you, too. By the way, I thought you were going to leave the pack. Why did you come back?"
Belinda’s face had turned white when Lucius mentioned telling Xavier her true identity and for a minute, my curiosity piqued. What was she hiding? What did she want to protect so badly?
"I hate you, Lucius," she said with gritted teeth, "Since Selene left you’ve been nothing but a blood-spilling monster and I thought since she’s back, that you’d change in the least but it appears you’re going to remain this way forever,".
"Why did you come back?" Lucius ignored what she was saying and took a step towards her, "Didn’t we agree that you won’t return? Do you want me to go to Xavier this instance?"
Tears gathered in Belinda’s eyes as she stared back at Lucius, her lips quivering. "You do not have the right to dictate my life for me. I choose to go where it pleases me and where it doesn’t. Even Xavier didn’t send me away. Talk more of a lowly Beta like you,".
"Fine," Lucius chuckled and took a step backwards "This time, whatever you see, you must deal with it because I’ll make your life miserable here,".
