Chapter 196: Separate
10 days have passed since the accident.
Grandpa is still in the hospital, and he hasn’t woken up yet. Everyone is starting to return to their everyday life, including Mel.
Mel has returned to her usual activities. Still, she never missed a single day to go to the hospital to accompany her lying-still grandfather, in the morning or in the evening, depends on her schedule that day. When Mel sits beside Grandpa, Mel tells him how much everyone missed him and what’s in the news. She then ended her visit by praying for Grandpa to wake. After that, she will go to her office or return home.
At night Andrew always picks her up for dinner together at his Villa or restaurant around the city.
She has also met with her psychologist twice, the progress is pretty good. She no longer had nightmares.
But, her heart was not yet calm because her grandfather did not show any progress. She always prays that Grandpa wakes up soon and the doctors can start treating his cancer. The cancer is like a daily sentence because his grandfather’s illness is categorized as a silent killer, and it could strike anytime.
While Vivian’s case has been submitted to the prosecutor’s office, it is just a matter of time for the trial, the indictment, and the court’s verdict. Every day Mel follows Vivian’s trial, which is broadcast all over the country through TV and print media.
When Vivian’s case became public, it caused the Stock Tanner Group to fall. His father set up a press conference stating that he was filing for divorce from Vivian. Tanner Group does not meddle with Vivian’s judicial process.
