Chapter 116: The Elders
"My Little Child Mel," Mel turned her head toward another old man, she saw him, and she knew this old man was Grandpa Adams. He was still handsome as before, his hair still black, and he used glasses. He resembled uncle Daniel Adams a little.
Grandpa Adams, adds "Come here, let Grandpa hug you as a token of my gratitude to you because you rescued my grandson." He said, then walked to hug Mel. Mel could only smile at him and hugs him back. In fact, she had forgotten about Bobby’s kidnapping.
The tree grandpa was stunned when they hear about the kidnapping. They ask old Adam, but he shut his mouth.
Mel also keeps her mouth shut because the kidnapping case is confidential. Soon they forget about the kidnapping and get Mel’s attention again.
Looking at her granddaughter, who was overwhelmed with the three old men, Grandpa Tanner finally rescues her. He said with an angry voice, "You all, let My Lovely Mel free. Let’s sit down first." He then asked Mel to sit beside him.
Alex, who was still standing on the other side of the room, did not receive a glance from them. He seemed invisible like dust. Alex could only take a deep sigh lightly and then walked towards the large glass window. He looked towards the garden, which was already getting crowded with guests attending the party.
After some exchanging news with others,
Suddenly Grandpa Will surprise everyone, "My baby girl, you still remember, in the past, you promised to marry Grandpa’s grandson, Miles. Now, you are an adult. I will collect your promise. You must marry my grandson!" He laughed happily.
Mel froze and immediately remembered the promise she made with Grandpa Will. She lost a fishing competition with him at that time, and the loser had to promise the winner. And innocently, she made that promise.
