Chapter 126: Destiny
For some reason, Allynna still doubted her abilities. The old man in black robes tried to read her mind earlier on the white island. At the time, she struggled to guard her mind against his attack.
"Leon, are you sure?"
Leon laughs while gently rubbing the top of her hair before saying, "Hmm... I’m sure. The old man tries to read your mind, but he fails. So grandpa permitted me to tell you about your past...."
Allynna is surprised to hear Leon’s words, till she forgets what to say and to do, she just silently in her place looking into him. Later, she can feel Leon’s warm hand touch her pale, cold cheek.
"Don’t be tense, my dear fiance... haven’t you been waiting for this from the moment you realize you were adopted?" Leon tried to make her more relaxed.
Allynna nodded slightly, but still, she didn’t know how to express her feelings now. After 17 years of knowing her life as Allynna Frost, she will soon find out who her real family is. And this reality made her have mixed feelings. She feels tense, scared, happy, sad, mixed into one.
"Come, let me hug you...." Leon pulls her into his arms, tightly embraces her, and kisses the top of her hair several times as if to send energy to her to be brave to hear this happy news. What Leon was doing to her made her feel much better.
After a few minutes, they embraced each other. Leon said, "Are you ready to hear now?" He asks her softly. He released his embrace and looked at her face while smoothing her hair that covers her forehead and cheeks.
"Yes, I’m ready," Allynna said softly. Now she felt her heart and mind much calmer.
