Chapter 55: Warm Hug
Aolis knew very well that his sudden visit had made his son angrier and obviously uncomfortable. As the Emperor witnessed, again and again, time did nothing to lessen the past anger his son harbored within him.
Aolis didn’t feel offended by his son’s attitude because he acknowledged it was his fault.
During this time, he just hoped that his son’s attitude would change and their relationship could return to harmony again. But after all these years, his son still hated him. Even at the age of seventeen, he decided to leave the palace.
At that time, he did not agree with his decision. How could he let his only son, the Crown Prince, move out from the palace? But again, his own father Leovaris meddled. He can’t do anything and just allows him to move out.
"Alright, son, Papa will not talk about it again..." He Said. A few seconds later, he smiles, seeing his son’s face is finally starting to soften. "When are you going to visit your mother? She misses you so much. She asked me to bring you to the palace for lunch...."
Leon was stunned to hear it. He completely forgot to pay a visit to his mother. When living in the palace, he never missed lunch with his mother every weekend. The frequency became lesser when he moved out. The last time Leon had lunch with his mother was a week ago. But this week, he wouldn’t do it because he couldn’t leave Allynna.
"Tell mother I will visit her soon..." Leon said. His face is always calm, and his voice is somehow softened whenever he’s talking about his mother.
"Funtastic. Will I ask someone to prepare lunch tomorrow? Your mother would be thrilled if you could come by for lunch tomorrow...." Aolis’s face lit up at the thought of the three of them having lunch together.
Leon tongue tie. He didn’t say the exact date, but his father forced him to come tomorrow? It annoyed him a little bit. But hearing that his mother genuinely missed him made him melt.
