Chapter 42: Suppress Her Feeling
In the afternoon, Allynna decided to explore this tremendously long and unbelievably wide castle and its multiple gardens. Especially the eye-catching garden in the backyard, near the blue lake.
When she came out of the bedroom, she saw an empty living room. There was no one in the big room. She took a deep sigh and walked toward the window to see the garden below and the lake. She stood still there...
"Will I be home alone again like in Sarlun?" Instantly she felt lonely.
She thought that by living with brother Leon, she would have someone to talk to. At least in his house, she could be accompanied by her female servant. However, no one can visit the 2nd floor. Also, until now, she has not met Lella, her servant, yet.
Now she was confused. How to summon her servant? She needs Lella to accompany her for an afternoon walk. She doesn’t want to walk alone.
"Do you want to walk in the backyard, Allynna?"
Instantly Allynna turned her body when she heard brother Leon’s voice from behind. She saw him standing just two steps away from her. Her feet were too feeble due to the shock. She slumped. But before her knee touched the floor, brother Leon swiftly grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms. And one of his hands held her hips.
The moment their skin touched, Allynna could feel a wave of shiver enveloping her body, and her heart started to beat fast. She is still in his arms. Her head is facing him, and their eyes meet.
For dozens of seconds, they stare at each other without saying any words, not even moving.
