Xavier immediately raised his head and was stunned to see a man his age, with short white hair, standing with his arms crossed behind him. He had never seen this person before, but looking into His familiar golden eyes, Xavier knew who this man was.
A faint smile slowly formed on Xavier’s lips as he witnessed the man’s calming smile, instantly easing the pain in his chest.
"F-Father..." Xavier stammered. He felt immense happiness finally meeting Him after years of separation, even though now he didn’t appear in his natural appearance as usual.
His Father was the one who gave him life. He could appear in any form he pleased, and he called him Father, while others called him God. Sometimes, his Father would take on the appearance of a teenager, a child, or even a woman — Xavier and those who had seen his true face were already accustomed to this.
However, even though his Father always appears in another appearance, he can recognize him at just one glance through his Father’s eyes and voice.
Xavier had harbored resentment towards his Father for banishing him to this lower realm for what he deemed ridiculous reasons.
However, after hearing everything from Lucian, he understood that his Father was only trying to help him fix everything.
"Father, I apologize if all this time I hated you because of my actions—" Xavier was too ashamed and regretful to continue his sentence.
Taking his gaze off his Father, he looked at his house. He could see Iris in their bedroom waiting for him. Seeing her happy face, waiting for his return, made him even more depressed. His hand was tightly clenched. He felt frustrated.
"Call me Xiu..." His command surprised Xavier. He turns to see him, and a smile slightly appears on his face upon hearing it. It was typical of his Father’s antics—appearing with a new face and name.
As usual, Xavier refused. How could he call his Father by that name?
