Justin remained confused hearing Xavier’s sudden order. But he didn’t say anything. He could only question Xavier’s decision.
’Why would Iris need protection? Even though she’s quite formidable for a human...’ Several times, he considered asking but decided to hold back his questions as he watched Xavier continue.
"Iris was once an assassin in her previous life," Xavier disclosed, leaving Justin utterly astonished and in awe of Iris.
Now Justin understood how Iris beat him in a shooting competition a few months ago. She was indeed an expert. She didn’t beat him because of coincidence.
Xavier carried on, his gaze drifting towards Iris. "And in this lifetime, she has a divine mission to fulfill. Because of that, God has bestowed her unique powers and abilities. You’re already seeing her abilities, aren’t you?" Xavier shifted his attention to Justin.
Justin nodded rapidly.
"Damn, Iris! You’re not lying... You really have God’s grace," Justin said in awe, realizing she had been telling the truth.
Iris responded with a warm smile, embarrassed seeing Justin praising her too much.
’Use cursed words against her one more time... I will tear your heart out,’ Xavier’s cold voice echoed in Justin’s mind, rendering him speechless.
