Chapter 4: Officially Dating
Rose was standing next to Evan when the Manager of this Italian restaurant came to greet them. After that, they started walking again inside. She quietly follows Evan into the VIP room.
She was surprised when she saw the luxury VIP room, this different room from the one they had used in her past life.
This VIP room looks spacious with white paint that makes the room look brighter. There is a long table with 12 chairs facing each other. Above the dining table, a long chandelier is hanging beautifully. Also, she can see a few art objects in the room.
"What do you want to eat, Rose?" Evan, who sat opposite her, handed over the menu. She immediately accepted it and looked at some of her favorite foods.
After ordering and the waiter left the room, they fell silent. After a long awkward silence, another waiter enters the room again and puts down their drinks.
Rose used the opportunity to do something. She quickly drank water and played with the crystal glass in her hand. Somehow today, Rose felt awkward being in this room with Evan. And Rose feels even more awkward because she knows that Evan will ask her out.
She was afraid. Because till now, she still doesn’t have feelings for Evan. Afraid she will disappoint him because this relationship was started not because she likes him, but because she wanted to take a new path in her life. It didn’t seem fair to Evan.
"Rose, you look different today...."
While Rose was still debating her thoughts, she heard Evan’s words. Slowly she looked at him with mixed feelings.
